Using the Help - Best Practices

The many topics of this help system can be overwhelming. Here are some guidelines to make finding the information you are looking for easy.

The Search Bar spans the top of the help system. As you enter text, suggested search criteria is displayed. You can click a suggestion to view the linked topic, or continue typing to refine the displayed options.

Help topics for each distinct feature set in Xytech are listed in the Table of Contents on the left of the screen. Each folder contains relevant topics. You can expand and collapse the folders to make the Table of Contents pane easier to view and navigate.

Bookmarks

Bookmarks are a quick way to identify and refer to topics that you have identified as being critical to your use of Xytech.

There are two bookmark Icons, the Bookmark List icon (top of screen), which when clicked opens a list of all saved bookmarks, and the Save Bookmark icon (middle of screen) which saves (or unsaves) the current help topic to the list of bookmarks.
